Portage picked up their 4th straight win in Dauphin last night and shut out the opposition for the 2nd straight game.
Terriers’ defenceman Cody Thompson potted the first goal 8:39 in to the first finishing off a Brakel drop pass. McIsaac doubled the dogs lead on the powerplay for his 12th of the season. Portage led by 2 after 20 minutes and outshot the Kings a whopping 23-4.
Jacob Brown continued the scoring in to the second beating Kitchen on the 2 on 1. While it looked the the Terriers might go on a scoring spree, they let up with the 3-0 lead and the Kings pushed back.
In just his second start of the season Benoit faced some pressure in the third and was able to stop all 29 shots faced for the shut out.
