It was a quieter week on the ice for the Terriers with only two home games over the last seven days. Portage fell 3-0 to the Niverville Nighthawks on Tuesday, which was a makeup game from December that was cancelled due to poor road conditions. On Sunday night the Terriers beat the Winkler Flyers for the fifth time this season, 6-5. The win was the 750th regular season win for head coach and GM Blake Spiller. He broke Doug Stokes’ wins record of 670 in 2024.

The Portage Terriers have a busy week traveling to Steinbach on Wednesday, hosting Swan Valley on Friday and then going back to Steinbach on Saturday. The second game against the Pistons is a make up game from earlier in January. Get your tickets for Friday night’s game at tickets.portageterriers.com. The games on the road will be broadcast on 920AM CFRY and Portageonline.com.
