A trio of games for the Terriers this past week left them with mixed results. On Wednesday the Terriers hosted the Steinbach Pistons and had a hard time keeping the puck out of their own net. It was tight through the first 20 minutes, but the Pistons pulled away for a 7-2 victory. The Terriers bounced back on Friday night recording a 6-3 win in Selkirk over the Steelers. The good vibes didn’t continue on Saturday in Waywayseecappo as the Dogs fell 6-3.
The Terriers are back on the ice Tuesday night at 7:30pm in a make up game against the Niverville Nighthawks. The game will be broadcast on 920AM CFRY. You can buy tickets for the game at tickets.portageterriers.com. The team will be off for the rest of the week until Sunday when they host the Winkler Flyers at 6:30pm.

The Terriers were pleased to welcome the association of Nigerians in Portage at our game on Wednesday night! Tickets were supplied courtesy of Southport! It was a fun night for everyone!
This weekend Stride Place hosted a cheerleading competition and the Terriers helped clean up the flooring.

The Portage Terriers’ Ladies Auxiliary has started their “Family Funds” day draw! Tickets are 1 for $2. The grand prize is $500 cash with the final draw on Feb. 16. Tickets will be sold at Terrier home games and from Terrier players.

The Terriers will be releasing their annual hockey cards after the Louis Riel Classic on Feb. 16. We will also be wearing a special Metis themed jersey that will be auctioned off.
