PORTAGE, NOVEMBER 10, 2025 – The Portage Terriers continued their winning ways this past weekend with a pair of wins over the MGEU West leading Dauphin Kings. The Terriers won 5-1 on home ice on Friday then 7-3 in Dauphin on Sunday afternoon. This is now four wins in a row for Portage, who is now tied with Selkirk for third in the East.

Goalie Mitchell Kathler has returned to the Terriers after starting the season in the BCHL. He made his debut on Sunday against the Kings. He played for the Terriers last season and was named the MJHL Rookie of the Year.

Trevor Hill continued his strong play and had three points on Friday and five on Sunday for a total of eight in two games. He now leads the Terriers in points and goals, the MJHL in goals, MJHL rookies in goals, assists and points. He was named one of the MJHL stars of the week.

Friday was Military Appreciation Night at Stride Place, and one of the largest crowds of the season! We are thankful to everyone who came out and showed their support! Our local cadets carried the flags on the ice before the game! Check out some pictures from the night here: https://www.portageterriers.com/terriers-dethrone-kings-2

Earlier in the week Drayden Uhrina, Wyatt Dreger and coach Robby Moar represented the MJHL at the Western All-Star Showcase in Martensville, SK. The MJHL lost the first, but won the second against the SJHL. Uhrina and Dreger each picked up an assist in the two game event.
