The Terriers have been up and down over the past week going 1-2. They lost 5-1 on Thursday (Oct. 23) to Virden, beat Winnipeg Blues 5-3 on Saturday (Oct. 25) then fell 5-1 on Sunday (Oct. 26) to Waywayseecappo.
Rhett Platt was a bright spot in the Terriers’ lineup, putting up six points (2G, 4A) in three games. He was named an MJHL Star of the Week!
On Sunday night the monthly Panko’s Food Centre Meat Draw was drawn with Sean Scarrett taking home the prize. You can purchase tickets for the meat draw at all Terrier home games.
This week, Portage has only one road game on Thursday in Waywayseecappo and then a home game on Saturday against the Winnipeg Monarchs. Thursday’s game will be broadcast on 920AM CFRY and portageonline.com. On Saturday the Terriers will be handing out the Fehr Auto & Ag player of the month prior to the game.
