Dogs Dominate Natives for 5th Straight Win

Portage welcomed the Natives to Stride Place last night for their game before the break. It was a bit of a slow start for both teams, a sloppy first period with no real flow.

Reilly Funk notched the only goal of the first 20 minutes, with a shorthanded marker, Billaney forcing the turnover and throwing it out front. Portage held Neepawa to just 5 shots.

Portage stepped up their game in the second, controlling play and producing better chances. Mickoski with the lone goal at 8:29.

Portage came out in the third and blew the game wide open. Lane Taylor sniped less than a minute in for his 8th of the season before team leading Moffatt picked up a pair of his own for a 5-0 Terrier final.

Nathan Moore faced just 12 shots and picked up his 2nd shut out of the season.

The Terriers are off until January 5th when they welcome the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to Stride Place.

The Terriers would like to wish all their fans, sponsors and volunteers a safe and happy holiday season.
