Final Game Of Regular Season

The Portage Terriers are excited for the final game of the MJHL regular season Saturday night at Stride Place. The Terriers will be hosting the Virden Oil Capitals at 7:30pm in a make up game from earlier this season.

Saturday will be the last night for fans to use “Flex Tickets”. They do not transfer to the playoffs or to next season.

Before the game we will be showing our support of the Ukrainian community. We will have a local Ukrainian bring their flag on the ice and their national anthem will be played.

Saturday night is the last night for the Homestead Coop Chase the Ace. The pot is currently at $4386 and half of Saturday’s sales will be added to that total. In the third period we will be drawing winners until someone finds the ace!

On the ice the Terriers are fighting for their playoff hopes and dreams. If they win they make the playoffs over the Selkirk Steelers. If they lose they will miss the playoffs for the first time since 1986. The Terriers fell 8-4 to the Oil Capitals in Virden at the beginning of January in their only meeting this season. Virden is currently third in the West and have clinched a playoff spot.

Proof of vaccination and masks are no longer required for entrance into the game.
