Portage’s own Reilly Funk is one of 26 Canadian Junior Hockey League players listed by NHL Central Scouting for its mid-term rankings.
In his first full season of Junior, the 6’3 , 190 pound 18 year old’s strong consistent play is garnering attention.
Funk currently sits 9th in the MJHL’s scoring with 17 goals and 44 points in 35 games. He is joined by Kyle Bettens as one of only two players from the MJHL to make the list.
Funk already picked up some hardware this season winning a bronze medal as a member of Team Canada West at the recent World Junior A Challenge.
He will also be representing the Terriers at the CJHL Prospects game in Okotoks AB. The game will take place at Pason Centennial Arena this evening starting at 7:30 pm
