The Terriers improved their record to 3-1-0 following an overtime win in OCN last night in the first game of their Northern road trip.

Wiltshire would score the first of the game to give OCN the early lead with Thomson answering on the power play to even things up. The teams would then trade goals, Leipsic and Rafter to end the period tied at 2.

Ellingsen started in net for the dogs letting in 2 goals on 10 shots, Brock Aiken would start the second.

Leipsic scored his 2nd of the game and only goal in the period on the power play at 17:14, with assists going to Brakel and Stanley.

The Terriers one goal lead was short lived in the 3rd as Brady Keeper would tie the game on a shot from the blue line that would find its way through traffic. Thomson would once again give Portage a one goal lead with their 3rd power play goal of the game. Roch evened things up for the Blizzard at 12:10 of the 3rd and regulation would come to an end with the teams tied at 4.

This would be the first time the Terriers went to overtime with the new 3 on 3 format. The eventual game winner would come from Jordan Thomson earning the hat trick just a minute and 14 in to the extra frame.

Aiken makes 26 saves and gets the win.

The Terriers finish up their weekend in Swan Valley tonight facing the Stampeders for the first time this season. Game time 6:00pm.
