Spiller Reaches Significant Coaching Milestone

On Friday November 29, a major coaching milestone was reached by Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller. With the Terriers beating the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 5-2, Spiller becomes the first coach in league history to reach 700 MJHL regular season wins.

Spiller reached 1000 regular season games coached early last season and then a few weeks later surpassed Doug Stokes for the league wins record with 671.

Starting as an assistant coach with the Terriers in 2001, Spiller took over as head coach in 2006.  He has spent his entire time as head coach with assistant Paul Harland by his side on the bench. With Spiller and Harland at the helm, the Terriers have won 8 MJHL championships, 2 ANAVET Cups and 1 RBC Cup National Championship. Spiller has won the MJHL Coach of the Year award four times and the CJHL Coach of the Year title three times.

Congratulations Blake!
