Terriers Acquire A Pair Of Forwards

The Portage Terriers picked up a pair of forwards and future considerations in three separate transactions

The Dogs traded F Max Henderson (03) to the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) for F Nathan Flodell (03) and future considerations.

Portage then picked up F Kyle Grysiuk (04) from the Winnipeg Blues in exchange for D Brandt Young (03).

The Terriers also traded F Ethan Tinevez (03) to the Nipawin Hawks (SJHL) for future consider

Flodell (5’10” 160) made his Junior “A” debut this fall with Flin Flon and picked up one goal in four games. “He is a hard-working intelligent player,” says Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller. “We expect he will be in lineup Saturday night in Winnipeg.” He was drafted 36th overall by Melville Millionaires in the 2018 SJHL Bantam Draft.

Grysiuk (6’0” 183) has suited up 16 times this season for the Winnipeg Blues and has already picked up a goal. Spiller describes him as “a skilled forward who can make plays.” The Winnipeg product has spent the last three seasons with the RINK hockey academy.

Henderson came to the Terriers at the start of the season and was unable to register a point in six outings. Young had a similar stat line going pointless in eight games. Tinevez had a pair of goals in 13 games. The Terriers wish all three players the best of luck with their new teams.
