Terriers Acquire MacDonald From OCN

The Portage Terriers have traded F Hayden Chaloner (2005) to the Winnipeg Freeze in exchange for Future Considerations.

The Terriers then sent Future Considerations and the MJHL List Rights to F Ty Genik (2005) to the OCN Blizzard for the CJHL List Rights to F Brock MacDonald (2003).

Brock is a hard-working physical player who will help with our offense. He started the year with the Johnstown Tomahawks (NAHL),” says Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller. “It’s always tough to move younger quality players out, but we are excited to add the experience of Stubbs (Acquired earlier today) and MacDonald.”

MacDonald (6’2″, 174) registered 36 points in 43 games last season with the Blizzard. The Charlottetown, PEI, product had one assist and 45 penalty minutes with the Johnstown Tomahawks this season.

Hayden Chaloner (5’6″, 148) played two games with the Terriers last season before sticking with the club full time in September. He has 11 points in 22 games with the Terriers and two games played with the Brandon Wheatkings (WHL) this season.

Ty Genik (6’3″, 170) has 27 points in 29 games this season playing with the Winnipeg Wild U18 AAA team.
