Terriers Add Familiar Face

The Portage Terriers have added F Ryan Botterill (03) to the roster coming out of the Christmas break.

Botterill (5’10, 176) played in six of eight Terrier games (2G, 1A) as a 17-year-old rookie in the brief 2020-21 season. The Portage product started this season playing baseball for the Okotoks Dawgs. The Dawgs are an academy team made up of some of the top U18 baseball players in Canada. They are ranked 3rd in North America.

“I decided to come back to Portage because I was missing playing hockey,” says Botterill. “ I am really excited to start playing [hockey] games. We have a great group of guys and a lot of talent”.

Botterill says he has been skating over the last few months. He will be in the lineup Friday night against the Virden Oil Capitals on a line with Logan Calder and Matt Wisener.
