Terriers Add Forward

The Portage Terriers have acquired F Jack Oleksiuk (02) from the Winnipeg Blues in exchange for Future Considerations.

The Winnipeg product played 58 games last season as a rookie for his hometown team putting up 25 points (9G 16A). Oleksiuk (5’9”, 154lbs) was originally drafted 46th overall in the 2017 MJHL Bantam draft by the Dauphin Kings.

Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller describes him as a “hardworking, skilled forward”. Oleksiuk will be a part of the Portage Terrier training camp which starts later today (Sept. 27). The Terriers play their first preseason game on Sunday when they host the Virden Oil Capitals at 3:00pm.
