Terriers Add Forward From NAHL

The Portage Terriers have added F Gavin Klaassen (03) from the Johnstown Tomahawks (NAHL). Klaassen (6’1, 170) had 49 points in 59 games last season playing primarily for Victory Honda 18U AAA in Detroit Michigan. The Ypsilanti, MI product also played 2 games with Johnstown last year before starting with them this season.

“He is a quick, intelligent player with a very good work ethic,” says Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller.

He made his Terrier debut Saturday night in Steinbach on a line with Blake Boudreau and Slade Stanick. He has some familiarity with current Terrier Noah Wagner; they were teammates last season with the Tomahawks.
