The offseason team building has begun for the Portage Terriers by adding a 20-year-old forward from Ontario. The Terriers have traded for F Matthew Campanella (06) from the Burlington Cougars (OJHL) in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
Campanella (5’11, 185) broke into Junior “A” hockey at 16-years-old with the French River Rapids (NOJHL) and has been finding the score sheet ever since. This last year with the Cougars, the Hamilton, ON, product put up 15 goals and 18 assists in 43 games.
“Campanella will bring experience along with speed and energy,” says Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller. “He will be able to play in all situations.”
