Terriers AGM Set for June 20th

AGM File Photo

The Terriers AGM is set for 7:00pm on June 20th at the PCU Centre in the Daily Graphic Room.

We caught up with Vice President Stan Killam on the importance of attending and what someone can expect if they’ve never been.

Why is it important for people to come out to our AGM?

It’s important because there will be some major changes to the by-laws this year as the last recorded changes to the constitution were made on August 10th, 1989.

What can someone who has never attended expect?

They can expect to have a better understanding of how your local Junior A team operates from behind the scenes. The decisions that have to be made that affect the survival of our non-profit corporation within our great community.

What is the purpose of an AGM?

The purpose is for the community to learn the inside operations of a Junior A Hockey Club with reports from The Board of Directors, Marketing Team and Coaching Staff as well as the Financial Report of the Teams Operations. The annual elections will also take place with 5 spots up for The Board of Directors. We will also be discussing upcoming events such as the 50th anniversary of incorporation.

Paid membership is just $5.00 and can be paid the night of the meeting. This will give you voting privilege in the election of Board Members.
