For the second time this week the Terriers offence took it to the Kings winning 8-1 at Stride place.
In much the same fashion as Tuesday’s game, Portage controlled most of the play and were too much for the Kings. Dauphin hung with the Terriers for the first period as Ty Barnstable spun around and scored an ice burner on Justin Anderson for the lone goal of the first frame.
The Dogs blew the game wide open in the second period finding the back of the net 6 times to Dauphin’s 1. Thompson, Brakel x 2, Sokoloski, Roy and Enns all contributing. Briscoe scoring for the Kings.
Portage’s McIsaac scored a shorthanded goal in the third for an 8-1 final.
Petersen picked up the win facing 21 shots. Captain Chase Brakel scored 2 goals and picked up an assist in his first game back from injury.
Next up for Portage is Swan Valley this Sunday at Stride Place, game time 6:30pm.
