Terriers Finish Regular Season with 6th Straight Win

In front of a packed house at Stride Place tonight the Terriers wrapped up their regular season. In a game that meant nothing to either team, the Terriers jumped out to an early lead with a goal from Buchholz less than 3 minutes in. The lead was short lived, Winkler’s McCarthy answering less than 90 seconds later.

Reece Henry took back the lead for the Terriers with a shorthanded marker at the 12:57 mark. Portage carried the 2-1 lead into the 2nd.

Halfway through the 2nd Portage opened it up with 3 back to back goals. Moffatt, Shindle and Wiesblatt all finding the back of the net.

With a 5-1 lead over the visiting Flyers, Calder notched his 15th of the season 2 minutes into the 3rd. Connor Beebe scored Winkler’s 2nd goal of the game, but it wasn’t enough to get back in it and the dogs would go on to score one more for good measure, Huston’s 4th of the season.

Nathan Moore records the win in net for his 25th of the season stopping 20 shots.

Portage will play the 8th place Waywayseecappo Wolverines in Round One of the playoffs starting this Friday. Tickets are now on sale at Stride Place reception.
