Terriers Leave the North down 2-0

It was more of the same in OCN for game 3 of the best of 7 MJHL final for the Portage Terriers falling 6-0 to the Blizzard.

Brock Aiken started the game in net and made a big save a minute in and the Terriers came back in the offensive zone. Ryan Hendrix had a shot make it through Brett Epp that was cleared by an OCN defender before it crossed the line. Jeremy Dumont was the first to find the back of the net to open the scoring at 4:04 of the first.

Tristan Elie scored his 4th of this series picking off a pass and beating Aiken with a backhand. Aiken would head to the bench in favor of Kurtis Chapman after 2 goals on 4 shots. Daylon Campbell made it 3-0 Blizzard before the buzzer sounded on the first frame.

It was all OCN in the scoring department as they would add markers from Wiltshire, Daniels-Webb and Elie for a 6-0 OCN final.

A more physical game from the night before saw Martin and Dumont bounced for fighting as well as Roy and Hiebert. The Terriers outshot the Blizzard 40-35 and both teams were 0 for 4 on the powerplay. OCN now leads the series 2-0.

Game 3 will be played Wednesday night at Stride Place game time 7:30pm. Get your tickets early to avoid line ups.
