The Portage Terriers have traded F Dawson Madden (05) to the Selkirk Steelers for a Player Development Fee. The Terriers also acquired the playing rights to F Edward Knittig (05) from the Melville Millionaires.
Madden (6’1″, 194) was acquired last season from the Winnipeg Blues and put up 18 points in 24 games for the Terriers. This year the Evansburg, AB, product registered six points through the first eight games.
Knittig (6’0″, 176) started his junior career with the Melfort Mustangs (SJHL) at 18, played a season with the Selkirk Steelers, before moving back to the SJHL (Melville Millionaires) for last season. Over 90 games, the Annaheim, SK, product put up 36 points. He started strong out of the gate this year with Melville and had four points in his first four games.
