Terriers Make Roster Changes as Deadline Approaches

Portage has acquired the CJHL playing rights of  98 forward Braden Billaney from the Virden Oil Capitals for 97 Rylee Zimmer.

The Boissevain product spent 2 seasons with the Winkler Flyers before being traded to the Oil Capitals.

5’10 170 pound Billaney can be described as gritty. In 13 games with Virden he scored 4 goals and put up 8 assists and 59 penalty minutes.

The Terriers have also acquired 17 year old forward Duncan Pierce in a reassignment from the Regina Pats of the WHL where he dressed for 12 games this season. Pierce is a 6’0, 172 pound Winnipeg native.

Both Billaney and Pierce are expected to be in the line up tomorrow night in Swan Valley against the Stampeders.

The Terriers would like to wish Rylee Zimmer the best of luck moving forward.
