Terriers Send Borody To Kings

The Portage Terriers have traded F Riley Borody (03) to the Dauphin Kings for the CJHL rights to F Cade Hayes (02).

Borody played 37 games with his hometown Terriers last season and put up eight points.  “We wish Riley all the best in his new opportunity,” says Terrier Head Coach and GM Blake Spiller. “He was a very good representative of our team in numerous community events.”

Cade Hayes spent parts of 3 seasons in Moose Jaw with the Warriors (WHL) before being traded midway through last season. “He is currently in the WHL with Spokane,” says Spiller. “He is another player we would certainly welcome should he come available at some point.”

Hayes (5’10”, 183) has 52 points in 136 games in the WHL. He was drafted 11th overall by the Melfort Mustangs in the 2017 SJHL Bantam Draft.
