Leipsic scores his 2nd as a Terrier and picks up 3 assists on the night.
The Terriers do it again and shut out the Wolverines for the 2nd straight game. Josh Bykowski picks up the shut out turning away all 22 shots.
The Terriers newly acquired Jeremey Leipsic would score the lone goal of the first at 11:08 on the power play with assists going to Brakel and Haiskanen.
Chase Brakel would find the back of the net beating Martyniuk on a beautifully timed Leipsic pass with a little over a minute to go in the 2nd. The Terriers would head in to the dressing room leading 2-0 after 40 minutes and outshooting the Wolverines 14-5.
Things would pick up in the 3rd as the Wolverines would start getting some quality shots on net. Bykowski made the saves when he needed to and the Terriers would get things rolling as Brakel would score his 2nd of the night and Riley Thiessen would score another for good measure. Final score 4-0 Terriers.
Leipsic would factor on all 4 goals with 1 goal and 3 assists on the evening and would be named the Terriers 1st star. He had this to say. ” Yesterday’s game was good for me, I felt more comfortable out there than in previous games and a lot of that has to do with my linemates. They were getting open and making things easy for me. “
Leipsic also went on to say that he’s loving being a Terrier, he’s comfortable in the room and the coaching staff have been great helping him get up to speed on the team’s systems.
