Saturday January 14th the Terriers were happy to participate in an Open House and Membership drive for the Koko Platz Community Centre. The weather co-operated and there was hot chocolate a plenty as Ryan Hendrix, Jared Roy, Ty Barnsdale and Layne Toder skated with the kids.
Koko Platz is a volunteer run community centre that relies on membership dues, donations and rentals to keep it running. KPCC has well over a hundred families with memberships as well as many that use the centre on a drop in basis. Volunteers participate at the board level as well as take care of flooding the ice, as well as upkeep of the building and all other maintenance.
All money goes towards maintaining the building and property including the ice and playground.
Memberships are $40 / family and can be purchased at the Community Club any evening or weekend.
Donations are also welcome and you will receive a tax receipt.
