Terriers Win Close One Over Steelers

The first and only goal of the game came at the 54:23 point, Buchholz going bardown on Bennett for the game winner.

Selkirk had the edge in the first with Portage struggling to get pucks deep, registering just 7 shots.

Portage picked it up in the second ringing a couple posts, but still unable to find the back of the net.

Halfway through the third Selkirk had a 5 on 3 advantage for 1:36. Moore stood tall in net while Portage’s penalty kill did a great job of blocking shots and keeping Selkirk to the outside.

Late in the third Buchholz played hero with his 15th of the season from Calder and Henry.

Moore backed all 27 shots faced to earn his 22nd win and third shut out of the season.

The Terriers are on the road tomorrow to Winnipeg to face the Blues.
