Terriers Winning Streak Ends in Swan

After an offensive outburst the night before against Wayway, the Terriers were shut out in Swan Valley last night against the Stampeders.

Keaton Jameson opened the scoring for Swan going high glove on former Stampeder Lasse Petersen.  Jameson struck for a second time with 16 seconds left in the frame one timing a rebound off a blocked shot. Swan led 2-0 after 20 minutes and outshot the Dogs 12-5.

The Terriers were looking to get back in it in the second, but were unable to mount an offence. Basarab and Mann added to the Stampeders lead and that was all she wrote.

Portage had a better third period outshooting the host team 19-7, but it was too little too late.

Petersen picks up his first loss as a Terrier making 24 saves on 28 shots.

Next up for the Terriers is the Selkirk Steelers this Wednesday at Strid Place. Don’t forget it’s Wild Wednesday! BOGO tickets! Tickets purchased for the cancelled game against OCN will be honoured.
