The Terriers ground the Flyers 7-3

Brakel scores 2 on the night.

The Terriers ground the Flyers 7-3 in their last meeting of the regular season, Terriers winning 4 of the 6.

The Terriers looked to get off to a good start and they did just that having a 2-0 lead just 2:17 in to the first on goals from Brakel and Bowles. Winkler not to be out done would pull even just 4 minutes later. MacDonald and Keck would each find the back of the net for their teams and the period would end in a 3-3 tie.

In the second Brad Bowles buried on Slipp with his 2nd of the game scoring the eventual game winner. Just a few seconds later he would pick up his 3rd point of the night assisting Stanley’s goal and giving the Terriers a 5-3 lead heading in to the final frame.

The Terriers came out flying in the 3rd and would put the game out of reach with 2 more early markers from Brakel and Stanley each with their 2nd of the game. The Flyers frustration would start to show and play got physical resulting in a total of 206 penalty minutes handed out and 10 players being ejected from the game in the 3rd alone.

The Terriers were able to extend their winning streak to 9 while ending the Flyers 3. The Terriers next game is Wednesday, January 27th when they host the Swan Valley Stampeders. Game time 7:30pm.
