The Terriers Retire Jersey to Honour Teammate

Ryan Simpson introduced the Pettinger family, to a packed arena last night.

It was an emotional night at the PCU as Braden Pettinger with mom and Dad Rick and Dorothy along with brother, Sean received a standing ovation in front of a packed house.

The Terriers organization held an on ice ceremony to honour the Terriers’ defenceman that received a life altering injury earlier in the season. Captain Brad Bowles presented Braden with his jersey as the #2 worn by Pettinger was officially retired and will hang from the rafters.

An emotional Braden talked about how overwhelming it all was and how unbelievable the support felt.

Braden watched the game from the stands flanked by his entire family. Afterwards he expressed his excitement at the win and that he hoped to be back Wednesday.
