This month’s MJHL Awards have been handed out and the Portage Terriers grab two.

 

Nathan Park, 20 year old veteran goaltender for the dogs was named MGEU Goaltender of the month. Park has had a memorable start in his first season with the Terriers with 5 shut outs and 12 straight wins. He leads the league with a .99 goals against average and .953 save percentage.

No stranger to awards and returning player and team captain Brad Bowles took home the RBC Player of the Month.  Brad has recorded 27 points (14-13) in 15 games and sits in second overall in the league with 15 goals and 15 assists.

When talking about the pair, Coach Blake Spiller gives credit to the two for their part in this year’s successes.

“Both Brad and Nathan have been huge pieces of our start to the year. Brad has been near top of the league scoring race and no question is our leader. Nathan has given us a chance to win every night and brought the stability we needed with a new group.”
