Benefit Concert being held to Raise Money for Humboldt

Portage for Humboldt

The tragedy in Saskatchewan involving the Humboldt Broncos has shaken the entire nation and everyone has been affected in some way. Now, it’s Portage La Prairie’s chance to help out.

Wednesday April 18th at Stride Place it is Portage For Humboldt. A chance for everyone to show they care. Following a short ceremony two of Manitoba’s most popular bands will take to the stage, the reigning Manitoba Group of the year, Petric as well as Portage’s own Doc Walker.

The doors will open at 7pm and admission is by donation. 100% of the proceeds will go to the fund created to help the community, the survivng players and the families of the vicitms.

Portage La Prairie and Humboldt have a hockey rivalry that goes back almost 50 years and there are many similarities in our communities. Hard working prairie towns built on agriculture, family, faith, sport and more. It’s Portage La Prairies chance to show them we care.

We will be auctioning off the suites to view the concert from with all proceeds going to cause.
