MJHL Still Targeting February Return To Play

On January 8 the province of Manitoba extended the “Code Red”  health restrictions until January 22. These restrictions do not allow for MJHL teams and players to practice or play games.

The extension of the restrictions has not change the identified restart timeline announced earlier by the MJHL.

“[We] will continue to engage and consult with Public Health Authorities to determine a pathway forward for a safe and structured return to team on-ice training activity during the latter half of January, with return to game play targeted for February.” says the MJHL. “The growing concerns of the Physical, Mental, Developmental and Social Health of our Athletes drives us in our efforts to get them back on the ice safely and responsibly.”
