Terriers Offence Dominates in Wayway

The Terriers were on the road to Waywayseecappo tonight to face the Wolverines in a home and home this weekend. After a tight 40 minutes last night, Portage came out on the winning end in a 6-3 spirited final.

In a repeat of last night’s game, the Terriers lead 1-0 after 20 minutes. Calder scoring the lone goal choosing to shoot on the 2 on 1 and picking the top corner.

Peyton Gorski received 5 minutes and a game misconduct for a high hit making head contact. Portage was able to kill off the penalty.

Once again Portage found themselves killing penalties in the 2nd period. With just under 5 minutes to go in the frame, Buchholz beat Reay for his 11th of the season followed by a goal from Howard a couple minutes later. Terriers by 3 after 40 minutes.

Portage turned it on in the third, finding the back of the net was Billaney, Ocean Wiesblatt and Howard for his 2nd of the game and a 6-0 final.

Peterson picks up his 7th win and 2nd shut out of the season turning away 31 shots.

Next up for Portage is a road trip to Winnipeg on Tuesday to face the Blues. Game time 7:00pm.
