Thanks To Our Graduating Players

The Portage Terriers would like to recognize the hard work and dedication from all of our graduating players. We had an amazing season and couldn’t have done it without them!

“This group seemed to get along together and were brought in to give us an opportunity at the league and National level,” says Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller. “Our team obviously improved as the year progressed by finishing first in the regular season. They fought through plenty of adversity in the playoffs but never made excuses and did all they could to achieve success.”

“It was a disappointing finish to league playoffs but we regrouped and had a very good showing at the Centennial Cup Tournament. I really felt as though our team did all they could and even though disappointing, finishing 4th is something they can all be proud of.”

Spiller knows that a season like this couldn’t have been possible without the fans. “I know our team was very appreciative of the support received by our fans, our executive, billet families and all the other volunteers who put in countless hours to make our season and National tournament a tremendous experience.”

Over the last few weeks River Foster (portageonline.com) has done feature stories these players. Find links to them here.
