Back to Back Wins for OCN

Despite outshooting the Blizzard 51-27 last night, the Terriers drop their second game in as many nights to OCN.

Boily makes the glove save on Ripplinger breakaway.

OCN jumped in front halfway through the first on a goal from Tony Apetagon. Trygve Many Guns doubled OCN’s lead 5:51 in to the second frame. Rylee Zimmer found the back of the net with a beautiful one timer that beat Boily on the powerplay before the period expired.

One of two goals by Zimmer.

Bartley restored OCN’s two goal lead batting in a bouncing puck in front before things got rough in the third. Ripplinger and Roy both received majors and misconducts for fighting along with Riendeau and Phillips. Portage found themselves on the powerplay and Zimmer scored his second of the game and 7th of the season.

Williams battles in front.

With Aiken on the bench Portage was looking to tie things up but OCN found the empty net with 5 seconds remaining for a 4-2 final.

Next up for Portage the Terriers welcome Selkirk to Stride Place this friday Nov 3rd game time 7:30pm.
