Thanks to an explosive four-game stretch, Joey Moffatt of the Portage Terriers has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.
Moffatt, 17, recorded eight points (3-5) in four games for the league-leading Terriers.
Moffatt, who hails from Portage, is having an outstanding season, reflected in 12 goals and 30 points in 23 games. His offensive skills are on full display while the Terriers are on the power play, reflected in 11 points (5-6) coming with the man advantage.
Moffatt comes by his hockey skills honestly as his father Shane is a Terrier alumni and former MJHL scoring champion. He’s also a member of the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame and Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.
The runners up for the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week are 20 year old goaltender Jeremy Link of the Winnipeg Blues and 18 year old defenceman Cole DeKoninck of the Dauphin Kings.
