NHL Legend and Former Terrier Coach Ab McDonald Passes Away

Former Portage Terriers’ head coach Ab McDonald has passed away at the age of 82.

McDonald Coached the Terriers from 1975 to 1977.

Born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Mcdonald was a 4 time Stanley Cup Champion winning 3 with the Montreal Canadiens and 1 with the Chicago Blackhawks.

McDonald joined the Winnipeg Jets for the inaugural season and was the first captain in the team’s history.

The Terriers Organization sends its condolences to the McDonald family.
