Terrier Sportsman’s Dinner Will Host Paul Coffey

The Portage Terriers are excited to host our annual Sportsman’s Dinner on Nov. 10, 2023 in partnership with Central Plains Cancer Services.

The event will be held at the MNP Building and will feature Hockey Hall of Fame defenceman Paul Coffey as the guest speaker!

Coffey played in the NHL from 1980-2001 for 9 different teams, most notably the Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He holds the record for most goals in a season by a defenceman (48), most goals by a defenceman in regular season and playoffs combined (455) and more. He is a four time Stanley Cup champion, and was inducted into the hockey hall of fame in 2004. In 1998 Coffey was ranked 28 on The Hockey News’ list of the 100 greatest hockey players.

The night will begin with cocktails at 6pm, and a chance for you to meet Coffey. Silent auction tables will be set up and the bidding will start on some great hockey memorabilia. Terrier players will be mingling throughout the crowd selling raffle tickets on the live auction items.

Dinner will start at 7pm catered by Bill’s Sticky Fingers. After dessert our distinguished guest, Paul Coffey, will share stories of his time in hockey. Once he is finished, we will hold a live auction with a variety of items for everyone.

Tickets are still available! A table of 8 is $1000. Please email portageterriers@outlook.com to reserve your spot.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the Portage Terriers and Central Plains Cancer Services.
