Terriers add Leipsic at the deadline

The MJHL trading deadline has come and gone and the Terriers have added one to their roster. The Terriers were sitting at 21 and can have a roster of 23 as of the deadline.

Coach and GM Blake Spiller described this year’s deadline as one of the worst he’s been involved in. “There was not a whole bunch of movement across the west. Most teams were looking to add so those that were moving players I felt the asking price was too high.”

The Terriers have acquired 5’8, 150 pound 97F Jeremy Leipsic from the BCHL. Leipsic currently has 17 points in 34 games with the Powell River Kings.

“Leipsic led Manitoba AAA Midget league in scoring last year and was a draft pick of ours. A smaller guy with good skill. With one open spot on our roster remaining, we will look to see if any unsigned players are available that we feel will help.” Blake Spiller
