Terriers Best Selkirk 6-2

Portage hosted the Steelers at Stride Place last night looking to bounce back from their last outing against the Pistons.

Selkirk struck early, Kelly finishing a rebound at 3:21. Nick Doyle evened things at one with his 4th of the season a few minutes later. The game was tied at one after 20 minutes despite the Terriers outshooting the Steelers 11-4.

Portage jumped out to their first lead of the game early in the second with Sokoloski beating Dola on a pass from Billaney.  Labossiere tied things up on the powerplay, but it was short lived as a sprawling Leipsic beat Dola 5 hole to restore the Terrier lead 18 seconds later.

The Terriers ran away with the game halfway through the third with the line of Barnstable, Enns and Ripplinger picking up one goal each and combining for 6 points for a 6-2 final.

Brock Aiken picked up his 10th win of the season in net with 13 saves.

The Terriers are on the road tonight to face the Oil Capitals at Tundra Oil and Gas Place.
