Terriers Drop Game at Home to Oil Capitals

Finding themselves down early the Terriers were unable to recover last night at Stride Place.

Dalke and Thiessen each found the back of the net early beating Lasse Petersen for a 2-0 lead 3:27 in to the game. Looking to change things up, Portage made a goaltending change.

Benoit replaces Petersen in the first and made some key saves facing 15 shots.

Brakel fresh off a Canada West try out would score the lone Portage goal on the powerplay in the second with a 2 man advantage.

Although there were chances in the third to tie things up,  the Oil Caps potted 2 empty net goals for a 4-1 final.

Benoit stopped all 15 shots faced, with Petersen recording the loss.

The Terriers will head to Winnipeg for their next 2 games as they take part in the MJHL Showcase next week.
