Terriers’ First Ag Expo A Success

The Portage Terriers held their first ever Ag Expo last week on Wednesday Dec. 7, 2022. The Ag based trade show at the MNP building featured over 20 local businesses and provided an opportunity for them to connect with the local ag community.

“We were quite happy with the turnout” says event organizer and Terrier marketing director Cody Buhler. “Approximately 150 farmers attended the event and the feedback we received was quite positive. For many, they were happy to be able to network with their neighbours and local businesses.”

Not only were those in attendance treated to a trade show, but pizza was provided from Bill’s Sticky Fingers at 4pm, and everyone in attendance received a ticket to that night’s Terrier game at Stride Place. The Terriers had a high scoring affair against the Dauphin Kings, but unfortunately fell 6-5 in a shootout.

The first ever Ag Expo was not only a great event for the ag community, but it also helped raise important funds to help with the day to day operations of the Portage Terriers.

We couldn’t have done the event without the amazing support of our partner businesses! Thanks!
