Terriers Receive Large Donation

The Portage Terriers are pleased to announce they have received a donation of $4,500 from the Portage Terriers Alumni.

The money will be used for a new video production laptop that will help enhance the in arena replay system and help to produce high quality videos throughout the season.

The donation is part of the proceeds from the Terrier Alumni Jersey Auction which was held online from September 2020-March 2021. The jerseys were donated by every NHL team and were initially planned to be auctioned off at the 2020 Centennial Cup in Portage, which was cancelled due to COVID-19.

The Alumni also used some of the funds from the auction to make a donation to the Geno Romanow fund which is held by the Community Foundation of Portage & District. They also created some displays to help showcase the rich history of the Terriers. Their hard work will be unveiled in the Fall at Stride Place.
