The Terriers end the regular season with an exciting shoot out win over Wayway to tie the league record for 20 consecutive wins.

The dogs started off slow as the Wolverines would score the lone goal in the first on the power play.

The Terriers came back with some life in the second when Brad Bowles would find the back of the net to tie the game at one and record his 102nd point of the season. MacDonald would give the Terriers the lead on a power play goal just before the period ended.

Wayway closed the gap just 38 seconds in to the 3rd on an unassisted goal from Cubbon. Tanner would then make the most of a Portage turn over and once again take the lead back for the Wolverines at 2:56. 4 minutes later Jeremey Leipsic would score off the draw and tie the game at 3. The tie would stand as both teams traded opportunities in overtime.

Portage was up first in the shoot-out and both Knaub and Lough would be denied. Round 2 Wowryk would bury 5 hole for the dogs and Park would make a beautiful save on Swedlo. MacDonald would then score to put it away for Portage.

The Terriers now wait for the winners from the Survivor Series to see who they will play in the first round of playoffs. Round one will start at the PCU on March 11th at 7:30pm. Tickets are now available at the PCU Reception.
