Wild Wednesday Win for the Terriers

Portage picked up their 18th win of the season with a decisive 7-1 victory over the Selkirk Steelers last night at Stride Place.

It was another great game for the Terriers offense. Captain Chase Brakel opened the scoring early in the first with his 12th of the season. Selkirk was quick to even things up with a Carter Barley goal just a minute later.

Portage’s Mickoski regained the Dogs lead with his presence in front of Hayden Dola  on the powerplay. With .7 seconds left in the frame Brakel scored his second of the night.

Portage went on a run from there.  Mickoski picked up his second of the night, Ripplinger, Leipsic and Sokoloski all contributing to the 7-1 final.

Portage outshot the Steelers 49-29 and Lasse Petersen picked up another win in net with a strong performance.

Next up the Terriers hit the road tomorrow to Swan Valley looking to redeem their 4-0 loss last Saturday.
