It was a quieter week for the Portage Terriers with only a pair of games. On Wednesday the Dogs travelled to Selkirk and picked up a tight 3-2 win in overtime. Ben Bugeaud scored the winner off a nice pass from Justin Deschenes. Then on Sunday the Terriers were shutout by the Dauphin Kings 4-0 on home ice.
Prior to the game on Sunday Deschenes was recognized as the Fehr Auto & Ag Terrier of the month for September. He had 7 points in 5 games.
This week the Terriers visit Selkirk again on Tuesday and then travel up to Swan Valley for the first time on Friday. Tuesday’s game will be broadcast on 920AM CFRY and portageonline.com.
Sunday the Terriers are back on home ice for a 3:30 start against the Virden Oil Capitals.
