File photo.

Jeremy Leipsic plays hero as he scores the hat trick and leads the Terriers to a 5-2 win over OCN.

Leipsic opened the scoring and Ty Barnstable made it 2-0 in his first outing as a Terrier.

James McIsaac padded Portage’s lead to 3 in the second with Enns and Sokoloski assisting. OCN not rolling over, came back with two of their own to cut the lead to one Wiltshire and Anthony Keeper with their markers. With a few minutes to go in the frame, Leipsic buried his 2nd for a 4-2 Terrier lead after 40 minutes.

Leipsic would complete the hat trick with just over 5 minutes to go in the period and the Terriers picked up their second win of the year. Aiken made 31 saves and picked up the win in net.

Rematch tomorrow at 7:00pm.
