Nathan Park Receives Playoff MVP

Ladies’ Auxiliary member Colleen Vrooman presenting Nathan Park with the Joe Sponarski Memorial Trophy for Playoff MVP.

With another great season for the Terriers coming to an end, it was time to present the Joe Sponarski Memorial Trophy to the playoff MVP for this year’s season.

With a very successful post season this year’s recipient is Nathan Park who was solid in net for the dogs helping them win the MJHL with 12 wins and 1 loss on their way to their second Turnbull Cup win in as many years.

Park played in all 13 games in the playoffs only allowing 25 goals on 318 shots and picked up 3 shut outs in the process, 2 of those in back to back games in the final series against Steinbach. Park’s impressive playoff earned him a .921 save percentage and a goals against average of 1.95.

Nathan is one of our graduating Terriers and we’d like to wish him all the best in his future. Congratulations!
