Terrier Off Season Update

Despite some Covid challenges in 2021-22, we were pleased to see over 15,000 fans attend our games! We are excited for the upcoming season. If you missed the announcement, Portage will host the Centennial Cup in May 2023.

Season Tickets are now available! If you purchase or renew your seat before July 1st you will receive a customized season pass with your name and seat location. Previous season ticket holders have been sent offers to renew through our ticketing platform Igniter. You can also purchase season tickets here.

To purchase tickets in person, please visit the Terrier store. It is currently open Monday – Thursday 12-1pm and by appointment. Please call or text (204) 871-1162 to make sure the store is open before you stop by Stride Place.

The off season is a busy time for the Terriers as we get ready for several fundraisers.

In September we will be hosting the 3rd Annual Geno Romanow Par 3 Challenge golf tournament at the Portage Golf Course. It is a fun “best ball” event for all skill levels. It has sold out quickly the last two years, so reserve your spots before it’s too late.

New this year, the Terriers will be holding a Winnipeg Jets Alumni Event with the Portage Rotary Club and Central Plains Cancer Services on Nov. 9 and 10. Similar to our event in 2017 with the Boston Bruins, we will have 12 Jets alumni play a charity game against Terrier Alumni at Stride Place on November 9th. Then the next night there will be a banquet with the Jets as the guest speakers held at Stride Place. Corporate sponsorships and tables for the dinner are now available by contacting portageterriers@outlook.com. Spots to play with and against the Jets will be auctioned off in the future. Individual banquet and game tickets will also be made available in the future.

The Terriers are also excited for our Gigantic Summer 50/50, brought to you by Golden West, Boston Pizza, Panko’s Food Centre, Kal Tire and Dino’s Appliance and Mattress Centre. The pot will be guaranteed at $50,000!!!! The 50/50 will start in August. More details to come.

One other event we are excited for is our new Ag Expo. Mark your calendar for Dec. 7 at the MNP building on the Island. We will have a trade show of ag based businesses. More details to come.

Kids Club will be coming back for another season. Details are still being finalized.
