It was a packed room at the Canad Inns last night in attendance for the annual Terrier Sportsman Dinner.
Former decorated New York Islander Mike Bossy regaled the crowd with stories of his 9 straight 50 goal seasons and 4 straight Stanley Cup Championships.
At times the NHL legend spoke directly to the 23 Terriers in attendance about the importance of hardwork and team play. “It’s never about just one guy. If that were true, Gretzky would have won more than 5 Stanley Cups in his 30 year career. It’s about the team and the sum of it’s parts. You play for the guy next to you.”
With a good many sponsors and fans in attendance, the evening concluded with a spirited auction with items ranging from spa packages to a weekend in Toronto to see the Blue Jays.
The Terriers Organization would like to thank everyone in attendance and those that donated prizes to make the night a success. Your continued and generous support are appreciated.
